The limited edition Islay-made whisky Glen of the Buck will consist of 1892 bottles to coincide with Liverpool FC’s establishment and each bottle will come in its very own handmade gift box featuring Bill Shankly’s name prominently.

I’m all for people enjoying whisky, but regardless of where you live you can’t deny that alcohol does affect driving so you shouldn’t mix the two.

SWA figures suggest investment is running at its highest level since the early 1970s, with more than £500m earmarked for new distilleries, extensions and bottling plants in the past two years. After the drastic cuts in the 1980s the number of licensed distilleries has risen to 109, with a further seven in prospect, including Diageo’s new malt whisky distillery at Roseisle in Speyside, which will open in the spring.
